The Kuskie family has been working hard on building out the office. Kathy has been mudding and taping. Peter and I primed and painted a wall so that the storage room cold be emptied. Tim was in charge of drywall disposal, which basically meant he got to break drywall scraps while practicing his samurai/jedi master sword technique.
I ordered a Sauder assemble-it-yourself desk with hutch from Advanced Furniture Outftters, who had a 50% off shipping sale. They had the cheapest price of anywhere I could find on the net, including Amazon, who would sell the furniture at an $80 discount, but charge you $230 to ship it. In fact, the only complaint I had was that they didn't have a WebGUI website
On Saturday, Peter and I spent 10 hours building my desk. I was so proud of him. He worked really hard the whole time.
However, during the assembly, we had a small accident. I hit the edge of my hand with a rubber mallet. You can see from the pictures below.
Desk and office pictures will be coming soon.
It really is reassuring to see tool-involved-injuries on others. And here I thought I was the only one.
