And what a month it was.

  • I prepared and submitted my taxes to my accountant.
  • Tim got braces; Peter kept his braces.  Popcorn, corn chips and bagels are gone from the house.
  • Kathy went to her interview to enter OHSU's Certified Nurse/Midwife program.  Now we wait.
  • I'm doing okay on last month's goal for staying on top of email.  Two days is still my goal for now, but I reserve the right to revisit that duration next month.
  • My new logo and website design were rolled out.  The designer from Plain Black did an awesome job.

That last requires some expanding, since it impacts perlDreamer Consulting in two ways.  Firstly, I now have a beautiful website that I'm very happy with; business cards are in progress.  Secondly, a piece of my corporate culture has been born.

I'm told that when someone did work for my Grandpa, that he and Grandma would throw together a plate of whatever they had on hand to say, "Thank you".  Often times it was dried fruit, jerky, or whatever Grandma had recently baked.  I did this last month, when Doug stayed up late to help me with some JavaScript.  I sent him a very large brick of Fudge Oat Bars.

Part of perlDreamer's culture will be an attitude of thankfulness to those of you who help us along.  Now I just have to develop a selection of recipes for very hardy baked goods. Smile
